Microinvasive καρκίνου (στάδιο Ι) αντιμετωπίζεται συνήθως από υστερεκτομή (αφαίρεση της μήτρας σύνολο, συμπεριλαμβανομένων μέρος του κόλπου). Για τη φάση Ι.Α.2, οι λεμφαδένες αφαιρούνται επίσης. Μια εναλλακτική λύση για τους ασθενείς που επιθυμούν να παραμείνει εύφορη είναι ένα τοπικό χειρουργική διαδικασία, όπως ένας βρόχος ηλεκτρικού διαδικασία εκτομή (ΕΠΕΔ) ή κώνου βιοψία.

Θεραπεία
Η πλειοψηφία των αλλοιωμένων τραχηλικών κυττάρων θα εξαφανιστούν από μόνα τους χωρίς καμία θεραπεία. Καμιά φορά όταν δεν εξαφανίζονται ή πρόκειται για σοβαρές αλλοιώσεις, πρέπει να αφαιρεθούν, έτσι ώστε να μη εξελιχθούν σε καρκίνο του τραχήλου. Υπάρχουν διάφορες μέθοδοι θεραπείας διαθέσιμες.

You may require treatment if the results of your colposcopy indicate that you have abnormal cells in your cervix.
The type of treatment recommended will depend on the number of abnormal cells in your cervix and how advanced the abnormalities are.
The aim of treatment is to remove the abnormal cells while minimising any damage to healthy tissue. Treatment is nearly always 100% successful, and it is unlikely that any cell changes will occur again.
